Quote-first selling

Selling online, the way your counter already works

Your customers already know how they buy from you: look at what you carry, ask what it costs, settle the details of the job with a real person. Canopy puts that whole exchange on your website — without changing how it works.

The catalog

Everything you carry, browsable by anyone

Your storefront carries the whole catalog, organized the way your business is. Visitors browse by category, narrow by what's in stock and what it costs, and every product gets its own page — photos, pricing, availability, and the tags that tell customers what's worth a second look.

  • Categories up to three levels deep — products can live in more than one
  • Search across products, categories, and services — by name or product number
  • Stock, price, and sort filters that work identically in every theme
  • Automatic tags: Sale, Featured, Low stock, Going fast, Coming soon, Leaving soon
  • Product pages with ordered image sets and live availability

Quote requests

A quote builder, not a shopping cart

Visitors add products as they browse, set quantities, and send the request when they're ready. You review it in the portal, adjust pricing if the job calls for it, and confirm — the same back-and-forth you'd have at the counter, with a record of every step.

  • Multi-item quote drawer, available on every page of every theme
  • Guided statuses from pending review to confirmed to fulfilled — with email at each step
  • Per-product minimum and maximum quantities, enforced right in the drawer
  • Open quotes reserve stock, so the site never promises material you don't have

Materials + services

Delivery, install, spreading — on the same quote

The materials are half the job — delivery, spreading, and installation are the other half. Canopy treats the services you offer as quotable line items, so a customer can put the mulch and the spreading on the same request and you can price the whole job at once.

  • Service lines and product lines together on one request
  • Each line picks pickup or delivery — a single quote can split both
  • Your services get their own pages, managed like the rest of your content

Wholesale

Trade pricing for the customers you approve

Your trade customers shouldn't see homeowner pricing — and shouldn't have to call to ask. Approved accounts sign in and see their pricing right where retail would be. Who gets it is entirely your call, customer by customer. Wholesale ships with the Canopy Trade plan.

  • Two price books per product: retail and wholesale
  • Customers request access from their account; you approve or deny from a queue
  • Wholesale prices show only to signed-in, approved customers

Promotions

Set the sale once — the site handles the rest

Run a sale the way you'd plan one: pick the products or a whole category, set the discount, give it a window. The storefront does the rest — Sale tags and strikethrough pricing appear when the window opens and clean themselves up when it closes.

  • Percent or dollar off, across a category or hand-picked products
  • Optional start and end dates — schedule the season ahead
  • Retail and wholesale discounts controlled independently

More ways the catalog sells for you

Material calculators

Length × width × depth in, yards or tons out — and the result goes straight onto a quote request.

Seasonal availability windows

Give seasonal products a start and end date; the storefront handles upcoming, available, and ended on its own.

Coming soon & leaving soon

Per-product countdown thresholds tag items before they arrive and before they're gone.

Related products

Hand-pick related products on any item and they render as a carousel on its page.

Order-quantity controls

Set a minimum and maximum order per product — the quote drawer enforces both.

Going-fast signals

Products moving quickly over the last week get tagged automatically — a different signal than low stock, with its own threshold.
